Saturn Ultraman Hack Bypasses Proprietary ROM Cart Via 4MB Cart

ROMhacker YZB has released another Sega Saturn hack, following up their recent release of the Castlevania: Symphony of the Night 4MB RAM Cart Hack. This one is for Ultraman [Ultraman: Hikari no Kyojin Densetsu], a 2D fighter that is one of two Saturn titles requiring its own proprietary ROM cart, along with King of Fighters ’95. That requirement however is a thing of the past, because YZB’s approach utilizes the much more common 4MB RAM carts. Files are also compressed and probably yield faster loading times than the original.

## Sega Saturn Ultraman RAM Accelerator Hack Edition by yzb

### Modify the description:
* No need to use official ROM cassette, use 4MB RAM card instead

* After the Sega Logo will be filled with 2MB of RAM card content, so the waiting time is longer, about 7 seconds with the SD card optical drive board

* Compress some files, slightly optimized, probably a little faster than the original version

### Cheats!

1. When [PRESS START BUTTON] appears on the title screen of the game, use 1P to input the ↑, ↑, ↓, ↓ keys in succession, and an effect sound will sound, then press START to open the menu screen (original 1P input ↑, ↓, A, B , C, →, ← keys)

– Hold down the Y key to select options other than OPTION, the game background will be composed of pure polygons without texture mapping;
– Press and hold the Z key to play in the mode with no time and energy display, only the remaining time can be judged by the sound;
– In battle mode, hold down the X key to decide that the battlefield will be randomly selected.

2. Continue to use the 1P input ←, →, ←→ keys on the game title screen, the effect sound will be sounded (original 2P input ↑, ↑, A, A, C, C, ↓, ↓, B, ←, B, → , ←, →, B, B keys)

– At present, the test is to choose the level in the battle mode, whether there are other effects is unknown

3. Continue to enter the B, A, B, and A keys with 1P on the game title screen, and the effect sound will sound successfully (original 2P input C, B, A, B, C, ↓, ←, ↑, →, ↓, A, B, C, B, A keys)

– No effect tested

4. On the OPTION interface, press and hold the 1P L+R key, the effect sounds successfully, and the MOVIE ROOM mode can be called up (displayed on the main interface)

* Remarks: The above 4 items can only be successfully entered once. After the success, continue to input invalid and there is no effect sound.
