Chrissy has just released the design for a small flex cable that makes the region fix for Cosam’s Neptune a bit easier. You can have these made at a fab house like JLCPCB, then use it as a clean way to perform the pin jump to ground. It’s still a small pin to solder to, but having something like this does make it easier – Just tack it in place, solder the two points, then remove the tack. More info below the links:

Cosam’s Neptune is a motherboard that includes all the circuits for Genesis and 32x console, making this almost exactly what Sega would have released, if the cancelled Neptune hit the market. It’s an awesome device for hardcore enthusiasts, but even if you’re just interested in how this works, Tito’s video is a really fun watch:
