New IEC Compatible 3.5″ Floppy Drive

Developer Stefany Allaire has just released her latest creation – An IEC compatible, 3.5″ floppy drive called the FNX1591.  This is compatible with any retro computer that uses IEC connections (like the Commodore 64) and the *USB port can be used to load 16 different DOS kernels, selectable via DIP switches on the bottom.  The price is $275 plus shipping and will arrive in April of this year.

*As a note, the USB port is only for firmware updates and kernel flashing – This is not a USB FDD.  That said, it’s still an awesome piece of hardware that can be used with retro computers and any of Stef’s modern creations that support IEC drives.
