Kyle from Kytor Industries has just released the SCARTpoint: A SCART adapter kit that allows a solid connection to Extron Crosspoint switches. You have a choice between input and output modules, as well as upper or lower mounting. The price is about $45 each, however you get quite a lot with this kit. Kyle has also open sourced the project if you’d like to build your own. More info after the links:

I’ll first mention price – This kit comes with the main PCB, the SCART-Lock brace to hold your cables in place, BNC adapters, Phoenix audio adapter (Extron side) and audio cable. In my opinion, that alone would be enough to justify the cost, but all modules have circuits on them: The Output boards have a 470 ohm resistor to ensure safe voltage to your SCART equipment and the Input modules have a switchable sync stripper…and while that’s mostly just needed on PlayStation consoles, it’s great that the option is there. Also, the above picture demonstrates how you can integrate the upper and lower modules to allow the thick SCART cables to fit next to each other, so definitely plan on using both for a more seamless fit.
Unfortunately, this may be the only production run from Kytor. According to Kyle:
“I added stock to the Kytor store, and what you see will be it. I am not planning on restocking these, especially since tariffs would now price them into the stratosphere. But it’s open source, so any enterprising individual is more than welcome to manufacture and sell these!”
While that’s a bummer to hear, the fact that it’s open source means people can still make their own. And if your cables already sync on csync, you can probably leave out the sync stripper circuit anyway, saving a few dollars.
