Analogue has just sent out an email to people who pre-ordered the “3D”, stating their FPGA-based, 4K Nintendo 64 will ship in late August. Analogue will be absorbing the tariff costs and no additional charges will be applied to people’s orders. There’s still no footage of it in action, however they’re claiming reviews will be coming soon. I’m interested to see if it performs as well as their previous consoles and if all the new features hold up to the hype.
There’s no word on if more units will be available at launch and if so what the price on those will be. In true Analogue fashion, expect a press release about a teaser about an announcement closer to launch date for more info. Analogue also mentioned that if you’d like to cancel your preorder at any time, to just contact Analogue Support…although if you’ve been waiting this long, what’s another month?
