A California resident who sold jailbroken PS4’s loaded with stolen software is being sued by Sony. In my opinion, good. This was not a case of jailbreaking for homebrew, this was a person who loaded games that are currently being sold onto PS4’s he jailbroke and then promoted the theft of more games.
I often playfully refer to myself and others in the retro gaming scene as “dirty pirates”, but the fact is I have never profited from any ROM I’ve downloaded. This person was blatantly making money from other people’s work. No sympathy here.
